नई दिल्ली।न्यायमूर्ति उदय उमेश ललित भारत के अगले मुख्य न्यायाधीश होंगे। भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश एनवी रमणा ने गुरुवार को केंद्रीय कानून एवं न्याय मंत्री से उत्तराधिकारी के रूप में न्यायमूर्ति उदय उमेश ललित के नाम की सिफारिश की है।
मुख्य न्यायाधीश एनवी रमणा का कार्यकाल 26 अगस्त को पूरा हो रहा है। उनकी सेवानिवृत्ति के पहले कल बुधवार को कानून और न्याय मंत्री से उनके उत्तराधिकारी को नामित करने के लिए एक पत्र मिला था। इसके बाद उन्होंने न्यायमूर्ति उदय उमेश ललित के नाम की सिफारिश की है।
न्यायमूर्ति उदय उमेश ललित सर्वोच्च न्यायालय में सबसे वरिष्ठ न्यायाधीश हैं। उन्हें बार से सीधे शीर्ष अदालत में नियुक्त किया गया था।भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश के रूप में उनका कार्यकाल तीन महीने से कम का होगा। वे 8 नवंबर को सेवानिवृत्त होंगे।

New Delhi:– Justice Uday Umesh Lalit will be the next Chief Justice of India. Chief Justice of India NV Ramana on Thursday recommended the name of Justice Uday Umesh Lalit as successor to the Union Minister for Law and Justice.
The tenure of Chief Justice NV Ramana is ending on August 26. Ahead of his retirement on Wednesday, a letter was received from the Minister of Law and Justice to nominate his successor. After this he has recommended the name of Justice Uday Umesh Lalit.
Justice Uday Umesh Lalit is the senior-most judge in the Supreme Court. He was appointed to the apex court directly from the Bar. His tenure as the Chief Justice of India would be less than three months. He will retire on 8 November.
